Carer Opportunity – Chorleywood, Hertfordshire

Hours: Term Times and School holidays. This must be a local carer due to some of the early start times in Term Times and must be a driver who holds a UK driving licence. An adapted vehicle is provided. 

Pay: £16 Gross and the basic salary is aprox £27,500 without overtime and covering other carers shifts.  
Details: This position will involve some paperwork and a small amount of computer work. You would be required to support a team of 9 carers that I currently have working with my daughter. Medication, Moving & Handling Training, First Aid and DBS checks are all provided. My daughter is 16 years old and is non-verbal with Cerebral Palsy. She travels in an electric wheelchair in and outside of the home. She is fully dependent on others for all of her care needs. This role will involve working within a family run setting. Activities will involve inside and away from the home. All personal hygiene, help with feeding and dressing is required. Although her mobility is in a wheelchair she is able to walk supported by a walking frame for short spurts. At times she can demonstrate some bad behaviour, but generally quite happy. This role consists of two day carers at all times. All adapted equipment is provided within the home. My daughter loves being out and about and can be very sociable. She enjoys parks, libraries, swimming, cinema etc….

The ideal candidate would be someone who’s more matured of age fits well within working in a team environment, confident, reliable and most of trustworthy.
